Moira and Colin designed and built their own home using the principles of universal design, where access for the disabled is provided by design from the primary concept stage rather than added on as an after thought. By careful design, the changes become invisible but functional, not just for disabled such as wheelchair users, but for everyone.
Often design aspects that suit someone in a wheelchair, also suit other people such as children, adults, delivery people, tradesmen and optimally everyone.
